Inspiration sometimes rarely shows up, and most times we have to beat ourselves up (literally) to do all the things we have to do. We’ve come a long way, all of us earth people, but still there’s always a long way ahead (at least we like to hope so, so long as we’re alive). A very important question then is, “when do we actually arrive at wherever it is we’re going?” “how do we know we’re there?” “is there really such a place?”
These questions constantly plague my mind but I mean, what choice do we have but to keep moving in order to maybe, hopefully find answers. We really can’t stop on this journey, we must keep moving…to be honest that gets me nervous sometimes. Other times I’m exited. Most times it comes down as a necessity…a responsibility – to produce, to create, to be relevant…
I like to look up at the stars, and sit on my thinking stool outside in the dark. My mother gets worried and asks me to go inside a lot, but I still try and sneak back out. Outside is peaceful (not outside – outside, in a social setting) but outside with the trees and the ancient sky, these mixed with a sense of the supernatural provide a measure of clarity. A measure of order, of being part of something…
To address the topic, I’ve discovered that I no longer have the leisure of merely sitting outside and thinking (although I would very much like to still include that in future schedules). I must go ahead and do the things I imagine. To do this, discipline is necessary …it applies to everything. Say you want to read a book, paint a scene, write, blog, play an instrument, curate, collect… (these are major things I do/should do) whatever it is really, you must be disciplined enough to follow through and not give up.
People inspire me, people make me nervous too sometimes…they’re like pointers on a roadmap, some paths could be distracting, so we must learn to choose which path to learn from. Discipline and consistency spill over to your person and you find it in every bit and piece of you. A totally wonderful thing if you’re able to make that happen. This is a general principle of life… my sister and I on one of our random talk days reiterated this statement “hard work beats talent when talent refuses to work”, there’s magic when you keep doing something. It’s true. But imagine what a fine blend talent and some effort would be 🙂
Remember this,
🍊 not to be distracted by another’s lane. Learn if you must, but don’t be carried away.
🍉 find your tribe. Stick with them
🍎 exercise discipline and consistency …in every thing. Keep at it. Don’t stop, don’t give up, keep trying… (there’s a song for that, I’ll teach you if we meet, I could make it repetitive and probably annoying though 😁)
🍒 be yourself, be proud
🍌 try new things. Don’t be too basic. Be extra sometimes 🙂
🍑 find inspiration still, and then, inspire 💥
🍋 Live healthy
Be amazing
Pray
Loveee ❤
… I don’t like to think of life in form of calendar dates but I guess the overwhelming convention supports that, and also it helps to keep track, so it’s fine.
Happy new year blog family ❤ (it’s tomorrow, but anyway :)) let’s make it count 🤓
