Do we call a random person who has a degree of morality religious? Religion is like a set of values, a definition of what is considered right or wrong and any one who wants to be termed religious must follow such values without question. Religion hence is not necessarily evil. My question now is, since we have ‘religion’ in place in our society today, why do we still have so much evil happening.

The important question however is not if religion is good or bad but how as individuals we inculcate it. To be simply religious is not enough – you might have the purest record of attendance in church, wear the longest gowns, sing the loudest in the choir, but if your heart is not right towards God, you are a long shot from what really is important. Religion alone, as a concept, cannot take you far…
